@BicBic Great playing with a very interesting piece of music. I still have yet to play anything by Glass, but like you, after hearing @Sam 's Etude, I made a mental note to purchase Glass's etude book. Which I have yet to do, but your recording reminds me that I need to do that! I actually want to listen to your recording and read along. I'm curious about what the different sections look like on the page. I esp. like to parts with the LH chords, also I suspect the whole piece is much more difficult than it sounds. (To say nothing of the fact that minimalist music, at 6 minutes, is always challenging!) So, a question, did you already know this piece, or find a recording before playing? Or did you just work it up from the score?
@Javier that was absolutely lovely! You wrote that it was nerve-racking, but that certainly didn't come out in your playing! Years ago, I worked on the Hess arrangement of this but never polished it, hearing your recording makes me want to revisit it, it's such a beautiful piece!
@rach3master Epic is the word! I love it and I love your playing!! You've really captured the intensity and the momentum! I can see how playing it would become addicting! I love the ending section and watching your hands for that part especially! (Also I must confess to being comforted to read that you "wasted several takes forgetting notes" π
