Peyton how to film horizontally with the i-phone

I have zero iphone knowledge, but would imagine there is an option under 'settings'/ screen settings, to select 'rotate' or 'auto rotate' or similar. Maybe under Portrait/landscape. Yours may be locked in Portrait mode? Jusst a thought from an android user.

Animisha
That was beautifully played. The music, combined with the video, I found extremely calming. Thank you.

ShiroKuro
'Wind' was totally mesmerising! I got the sense of movement of the wind rustling leaves from tree to tree..
The movement between your hands, flowed so effortlessly. Bravo!

hebele
That was very well played, and kudos to you for including the trills!
It certainly is a 'rite of passage' piece. For me, all those years ago, it felt like the first 'proper' piece i was taught.

I’m starting at the end for PT.

Gooseberry β€” Nights in White Satin
You mentioned this was a sentimental journey for you, and that was palpable. It had a haunting quality. Thanks for sharing!

bSharp β€” Open arms
I’m not familiar with this song, but you did a really nice job bringing out the lyrical quality. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to Lady Gaga!

Greta99 β€” Berceuse, Op. 23 No. 1
Beautifully played! It’s a very sweet piece. If I had a baby, I’m sure this would help him/her fall asleep!

ShiroKuro β€” Wind
It’s a very windy night here, as I’m listening, so it feels particularly appropriate. I enjoyed it a lot, and the ending worked really nicely.

navindra β€” Over The Rainbow
A perennial favorite! Very lyrically played, and I thought the ending was particularly beautiful.

    Gooseberry
A classic from my youth! Thank you for taking me down memory lane with your flawless playing. Loved it!

      @Sophia and @rsl12
What a fantastic collaboration between you both!
Such a jaunty performance that had my foot tapping, and a grin on my face..πŸ˜€
Great job on putting the video and audio together, also.
Looking forward to hearing more from you two.
      Encore!!

Great recital everyone! I had a blast listening to all of your wonderful performances!

      Nightowl β€” Frankie and Johnnie
Nice playing! I like the way you keep the piece grounded with the nice steady bass, and the way you bring out the melody on top. The ending is very tastefully done. I enjoyed listening!

Peyton β€” A Dream of Far Away (part two)
I really enjoy the hypnotic eastern sounds. Great expressive piano playing! The double tracked piano with video is really cool! Also, your music room looks very nice!

Animisha β€” To a Wild Rose
This is a lovely piece and I like your smooth and expressive playing! The dynamics sound really nice with beautiful phrasing!

      keff β€” Summertime
I like the mood you create with this piece. The syncopated bass, the middle voice, and the nice riffs on top come together well.

      iternabe β€” MalagueΓ±a
Great playing! This sounds a little bit dark and mysterious. I like your dynamics and articulation. The legato left hand against the detached right hand is very nicely done.

      Sophia & @rsl12 β€” Just a "Good Old Tune"
This is fantastic! Expert ragtime playing Sophia! You sound like a pro! And @rsl12 your singing is great and I love the Melodica solos! Very fun collaboration!

rach3master β€” Call of Silence: Attack on Titan OST

      Calavera β€” Antipyretic
Great piece and I love what you did with it! Great job contrasting the more subdued middle section with the beginning and end. The build up at the end of the middle section was really nice! I love the fade-out at the end!

      WieWaldi β€” Frisco Blues
Very nice playing! I love how smoothly you play, really great legato playing. Also I really like the balance between the bass and the melody. The bass is prominent and anchors the piece, yet the melody still stands out.

Sam β€” "An Important Event" from the Scenes from Childhood
I like the way you play this with such a big sound. You play with gusto, and the low bass notes are very dramatic. This seems like it would be really fun to play. You’ve inspired me, I may have to try this one!

      SalmonJack β€” Just Mist
I love this quirky and fun piece. Great syncopation and really nice modulations. I love the spray bottle in the video!

Nicely played! I enjoy your expert, expressive, lyrical playing. Very nice phrasing! Thanks for your playing!

This piece sounds tricky and satisfying to play. Your piano skills are impressive and your playing sounds wonderful!

Gooseberry β€” Nights in White Satin
The arrangement turned out nicely and you play it well. I like the quiet, almost somber feel with some contrasting drama in the middle. I enjoy your playing!

This is lovely arrangement of a great song. I really like the passion you put into your playing. You do a great job of capturing the feel of the Journey version!

        Rob Thank you!

rach3master β€” Call of Silence: Attack on Titan OST

Masterful! If I had seen this video without context I would've thought it was Animenz playing.

hebele Minuet in G by Christian Petzold - I've done this one so I know how difficult it is to get right. You got it right.

Pathbreaker Op. 116 No. 6, Intermezzo in E major - Not my most favorite piece but your performance shows your skills and abilities.

Calavera Antipyretic by Hitoshi Sakimoto - Not just brisk, but very brisk.

WieWaldi Frisco Blues by Christian Fuchs - Nice blues. You might want to consider giving more emphasis on the RH or letting the LH be a bit softer. On the other hand, going from scratch to a submission in 20 days isn't bad so forget everything I said.

That's it for today. I'll be back tomorrow (hopefully) with more.

Player1 Thank you for your kind words.

Player1 You might want to consider giving more emphasis on the RH or letting the LH be a bit softer.

Thanks that you mentioned this. I am happy if someone points out a specific problem. I had the feeling by myself already about this problem and was thinking to fix it, but considered this as a waste of time. If others can hear it, too, it might be worth the time, investing.
Thank you for your honest opinion, this means a lot to meπŸ‘β€οΈ

          rogerch β€” Flutter
Great improv skills there. Always amazing to listen to. I don't understand how people do it πŸ™‚

            SalmonJack β€” Just Mist
A clever composition, played very well. You are very skilled.
            Rob β€” Pembrokeshire Promise
What a beautiful composition - this is my kind of music! Pensive and gentle, very relaxing, you have an abundance of talent.
            BicBic β€” Mazurka Op.6 No.2
This surprised me - Chopin is not known for cheerful pieces! Good choice, well played.

Player1 Thanks P1! πŸ™‚ Your comment really cheered me up, because I only notice the negative things (hesitations, tense hands) when I watch my own videos.

hebele Thanks, I'm plodding along, my progress is slow but steady. Yes, this is from Alfred's AIO Level 2. There are some nice pieces in the book, but also a few that I think of as musical abominations (although maybe some folk like them).

Thanks @Peyton. There are several different versions of the song, but here's a link to an early recording, so you can listen to the lyrics:

Thanks! It's true that the ending is the best part of my video! πŸ™ƒ 😁
