PianoTell Recital #2 Is Now Live!
rsl12 If you learned this quickly, it must mean you're improving! I don't know the piece but there are no obvious wrong notes. It's unclear from your submission what kind of feedback you want so I'll leave it at that! When your performance was over, some political informercial started playing and I couldn't figure out how to get back to your performance. I had to reload the page to get out (which meant my message-editing box also cleared). If there's an easy way to get back to your video in that situation, let me know.
You have auto play turned on. On the bottom of the screen there's a slide switch next to the settings gear icon. Set it to off. That way, when the video ends, it'll just stop and you can hit replay or click on the progress bar at the beginning.
gRumble's default is to have it on because they make their money out of ads. I can't blame them, I'd do that too if I could.
Somehow I overlooked the feedback desired bit. Not that it matters, it's all good. That particular piece is early to mid beginner and I'm beyond that point now by a good bit. I just needed something at the last second and pulled that piece out of the hat. Even I didn't think it would take only 6 days (with 1 day off too!) to go from never playing it before to getting it recorded/submitted. It's not the best, but I made the submission deadline.

Thank you for comments earlier on my performance of "God Bless the Child". I continue to play it and as I get more comfortable with it, I'm able get the rhythm looser.
Sophia - A Classy Rag - A classy performance and after less than a year of playing. You are so wise to get it smooth before working on tempo. I tend to get obsessed with tempo too early in the game and live to regret it when I try to smooth it out afterwards.

@diretonic — Chega de Saudade (No More Blues). Some lovely jazz, we need more of that around here, thanks! Jobim's tunes are great, and this one is a nice departure from the usual "Girl from Ipanema." Hope your arthritis is better these days!
@rogerch— Slow Steps. Love your improvisations, still don't know how you do that ... I was a bit confused about "minor fourth" until I realized it was what I know as a minor iv chord, then it made sense.
Enthusiastic but mediocre amateur.
keff — Over the Rainbow. A very different arrangement from what I was expecting - I really liked it! A shame about the print size, it’s challenging enough to play while reading, without encountering format problems as well!
plop_symphony — The Midnight Ball. A confident, playful performance. You’ve been learning for under 2 years, and you polished this off in less than a week?! You must be very pleased with your progress!
Schubertian2 — Ballade 4. A concert-hall-worthy performance, enhanced by a well-chosen video compilation. Stunning!

But I just need to emphasize that I didn't completely start from scratch. I played as a child and also went through the entire first Thompson book about 6 years ago. I flew through the first Alfred book in about six weeks, just catching up with what I had already picked up in the past.
Also, I'm starting to think that I probably picked up more from my parents (both professional musicians) than I realized.
I wouldn't want to give the impression that I'm going through the method at super speed... it's decidedly leveling down now

Bliss Ten is gorgeous, and I love your expert playing and the lush recording. The entire performance is lovely. I’m especially captivated by the section from 5:20 until around 6:20. Those are some really interesting rhythms that sound really cool!
