ShiroKuro β Reminiscence
Your performance sounds great! This piece is beautiful and ethereal, and I like the way you play it. You have a delicate touch that sounds lovely. This piece has some really nice syncopation and you did a great job with the tricky rhythms. I think youβre ready to play this in your recital!
PianoTell Recital #2 Is Now Live!
Pathbreaker β Larghetto
Larghetto is a lovely, slightly haunting piece. I love the way you play it gently with great expression. Wonderful playing!
navindra β The Entertainer
Your confident playing sounds really good! You give the Entertainer a great ragtime feel with nice dynamic expression. Your piano and the recording sound really good too. I love the high note at the end. Iβm guessing that wasnβt in the Alfred book.
Thanks again for running PianoTell and this recital!
Thanks @Nightowl! My piano thanks you too!
I'm sorry you are full of envy though! If you enjoy playing the piano while learning new things, then you and I are in the same place in the ways that matter most. I think you're doing great and I hope that playing brings you joy!
Thanks @Sophia! It really helped my piano playing that I took 14 months off from work. I've been back at work since August so my progress may slow down, but I'll take what I can get!
WieWaldi rogerch β Slow Steps
One can really tell, you are enjoying to improvise. It looks like a fish in the water. I've heard this style of impro already from you, last time it was good, this time it is good again. Just different, but still with your own signature.
I enjoyed to listen to the beautiful sound, the warmth, the harmony, you did very well changing between Major and minor, here and there (at least I believe, you did). You made a good mix between repeating the known melodies to please the listener and introducing new themes to keep in interesting. I'd call this well rounded improvisation again.
Well done, Roger, I bow to you in respect!
Thanks @WieWaldi! I absolutely enjoy improvising, it has been a great journey!
Gooseberry rogerch β Slow Steps β I love the warmth and tenderness that emanates from your improvisation, and I admire how you can transfer the flow of your ideas into such beautiful music
Thanks for the nice feedback, @Gooseberry!
Player1 You have auto play turned on. On the bottom of the screen there's a slide switch next to the settings gear icon. Set it to off. That way, when the video ends, it'll just stop and you can hit replay or click on the progress bar at the beginning.
I don't see a gear icon. Maybe you need a rumble account to have that ability. Oh well...
Thanks @Rob! Sometimes I'm tempted to take a snippet from one of my improvs and build a composition around it. I probably will at some point!
Sam - The Never Finished Piece - I really enjoyed that. Nothing wrong with 19th century. It's my favorite era for classical music and listening to your composition was like uncovering an undiscovered treasure from that era.
I also want to thank you for listening and commenting on my piece earlier.
Gooseberry - Pigalle - What a sweet, charming sounding piece. Your playing looked and sounded smooth and effortless and it amazed me that you could do it with the gloves. Good to know if I ever need them.
Also, thank you for listening and commenting on my piece.
@plop_symphony β The Midnight Ball. That was a really fun piece, and you nailed it. I'm a big fan of dissonance, so I really appreciate this contribution. Thanks!
@ShiroKuro β Reminiscence. Lovely piece, I'll need to look into that composer more. Good job!
@Sgisela β Do Tebe (to you). Another gorgeous piece by yet another composer I'm not familiar with. I need to listen more broadly! I enjoyed your story about touching base with the pianist for sheet music, it's great to see such a friendly, helpful community. Kudos!
Home stretch, just a couple more to go ...
Enthusiastic but mediocre amateur.
