thepianoplayer416 st-19th century standard piano manufacturer adopted. The time of Mozart, Haydn & early years of Beethoven people composed music for a piano with fewer keys.
Interesting you mention this. Some time ago I saw a YT video comparing Mozart and Beethoven. And he pointed out that Beethoven used more keys on the piano. Not that Mozart wasn't able to do so, but at his time the outer notes didn't sound that well. Seems that during that short period of time between both composers, the piano development made a huge step forward.
