Calavera No audio playlist is currently supported. I could make a YouTube playlist and interleave it with the other non-YouTube submissions.

But I have a feeling it might also be kind of nice experience to play a video while scrolling through and reading. It's different from the Piano World experience but it may just work. Let's see how it goes.

    navindra Got it!

It looks like most people who are participitating here have also submitted their recordings to PW anyway. Since Sam usually provides an audio playlist and zipped MP3 files on PW, it's probably not necessary to do the same here.

That means I'll be able to listen to your performances while I'm, say, working or washing the dishes. I hope you guys' recordings make for decent washing-up soundtracks!

I'm going to record today, see if I can get anything useable. Between today and tomorrow at most, I'll just use whatever take I'm happiest with.

      Enthusiastic but mediocre amateur.

I'm never going to have a perfect take, so I went for one I'd be happy enough listening to.

I record every piece I play in order to mark it "completed", so my standards can't be too high or I'd never get anything done.

plop_symphony Exactly my approach. Now that I've submitted my video, it's time to move on to a new piece!

I have no idea how it worked out this way, but my submission already has almost 60 views, with less than half of those being "first time" views so there's a lot of re-watching going on, and the recital hasn't even started yet.

Not that I'm complaining about the traffic on my channel or anything but who knew that a duet with the cat would be so popular with a certain moderator? 😂

I had some memory lapses / flubs in my submission, I'll just call them ornaments!

Player1 Well, it's hardly surprising, considering how awesome you are P1! Your fans have probably been waiting with baited breath for your next performance. 😁

"Don't let's ask for the moon, we have the stars." (Final line from Now,Voyager, 1942)

Just got mine uploaded in the nick of time. Whew!

Deadline is same as PW recital, so Aug 15th at 6am Eastern time?

Player1 Hah! I'm very confident the leak is not from PianoTell and it's not just me who did all the watching. Your submission is literally only viewable by you and me.

              Couple of thoughts:

              1. A lot of people already figured out the Piano World recital layout. It is trivially easy to preview a recital before it happens. So if there was a leak, it's more likely to be from Piano World than PianoTell!
              2. Maybe the Rumble algorithm just likes your video! 🙂

Rubens This is where Sam absolutely shines... his discipline in handling the recitals is unmatched.

So no, there's no way I'll be that prompt. First, this is smack dab in the middle of the work week for me. Second, 6AM ET is 3AM PT for me... I would die if I had to wake up that early! So let's just say I will aim for Aug 15th, it will be several hours after Sam with a more fluid time range, but I'll do my best.

This is why I originally didn't think it would be sustainable for me to be the RC, but now I'm starting to see it wasn't such a bad idea to pioneer the first one (or several)... I get to learn first hand what needs work! A lot of this could be automated — the recital could auto publish in the future.

I've been really busy so I'm not sure I'll make this one...I'd have to get a decent take tomorrow and that seems unlikely (I will try...). But @navindra you mentioned in another thread that you had created a DropBox account as an option for audio uploads. I don't see a mention of that in the official submission post/form?

navindra DOH - sorry, and thanks for the quick reply.

I have been concentrating lately on recording some acoustic guitar songs on piano using a VST, so have nothing current to submit, but I quickly recorded a piano one from years back, this morning.
Like @bSharp mine also contains 'ornaments'! 🙃

I'm so excited about this first recital! My compliments to navindra for the smooth process - I can just imagine how much work went into this behind the scenes!

Wow! I officially declare that this recital is going to be amazing.

We broke 20 and we'll likely break 25 before all is said and done.

I've heard snippets here and there and I'm excited for this recital.

And apologies for this gratuitous comment: @rsl12 you have simply outdone yourself! I hadn't realized how far you'd come in your singing in such a short time!

Note: I've made minor editorial tweaks to the submissions. However, feel free to review your submission and make final edits on top of mine.

Thank you! I'm pretty happy with that recording!

I sometimes make personalized songs for my wife. I thought it would be fun to personalize the song for the Pianotell audience.
