BartK Thank you for the advice. I'm going to take it. My next question is how many of the additional pieces at the end of Alfred Level 1 will I learn before moving to Level 2. As I've done every piece in the book, I think I might do half of the "extra" pieces at the end, then move to the 2nd book instead of spending many more months learning all of the extras. I would skip all of the extra pieces for the sake of efficiency, but I have been looking forward to specific ones as a reward for a job well done. So I'm going to play the ones I've been looking forward to, but skip ones that don't interest me.
I picked up Burgmuller Opus 100 to use with my Alfred Level 2 book, because having stuff to look forward to is super motivating.
