Seriously though, I really like the way you play for a beginner/child. All the motions are correct, and you are amazingly relaxed for your level. I think you will progress fast.

Very nice recording! And I am jealous of your span...that is really going to make things easier for you later. I can just barely reach a 9th, and only on the key edges. It's taken years for octaves to get more comfortable, and going fast(ish) is an ongoing struggle.

twocats Or perhaps I need to use a nail brush. 🤣 Sometimes I take a break and go outside to pull weeds. I always wash up after but maybe I'm missing a spot. Or perhaps my skin looks good for my age, due to an obsession with sunscreen. As a pattern recognizer, I'm dying to know the evidence of childlike hands!

Pallas I think it might be the camera distortion making your hands look extra small. They do look tiny in the video but you have one extra note in your span compared to me!

twocats I've been tinkering with camera angle. It's kinda been driving me crazy!

Pallas I make my videos by wedging an iPad on a cushion on the futon next to the piano! It's not ideal but it's quick and easy.
