@MarieJ thank you so much for the amazing compliments! One of the best things about these online recitals is that they are such a confidence boost, and your comments help so much 🙂
MarieJ it all together took a lot longer than I’d expected, but there WAS a lot of learning involved, particularly as I wanted to keep the original 12/8 time signature, and end up with a decent PDF. (I suppose I could have simply purchased a readymade solo score, but where was the challenge in that? 😄)
Oh, I didn’t know that the original was in 12/8, that’s interesting! The two versions I have are in 6/8. Speaking of wanting to end up with a decent PDF, I don’t know how to use any notation software, nor would I ever want to to try to write out anything by hand, let alone something that was multiple pages. So when I wanted to combine two different arrangements of the Carol of the Bells, I printed each out and cut them up and literally pasted different measures and lines together on blank paper, re-scanned it to get a single pdf. But one arrangement was in 3/4 and the other in 6/8 and in my “arrangement,” I kept going back and forth between the two scores, and also I wrote some things in… it looks terrible, I still sometimes play it, but I always call it my franken-score. 😃
BTW What notation software did you use?
