Sophia Commenting on my own piece for once π I had deliberately not revisited this recording while continuing to smooth it further, and also trying to learn the rest of the first movement. So I can confidently say I can play it more smoothly now, though the rest is definitely nowhere near recording worthy even now. There is no rush, I'm taking my time and just enjoying the piece. To answer rsl: nope, not scary at all, in fact it was very enjoyable to learn to trill. One might even say trilling ^_^ Though the final trill doesn't sound too smooth in the recording (it's not held long enough); I can play that better now.
rsl12 That was very interesting, almost like your own arrangement of the piece! It made the piece even more "swing style" than it already was. I noticed that the second repeat, you didn't play the final three bars but started the repeat right there. I thought perhaps your sheet music was different, but then for the final repeat, you did play them. Was that deliberate? It sounds very logical and I actually prefer it that way. And lastly: I find it quite hilarious that you suffer from the same thing I do: conductor's pinkie! I'm glad I'm not the only one... mine tends to swing and bob along with the music all on its own as well π
keff That was delightful keff, what impressed me most of all: you played EVERYTHING in one single take! Respect!!! The other three movements are starting to grow on me, and I would like to learn those as well now. All your fault π
twocats Lovely, chipper playing! I just never get tired of this piece, it's incredible how each performer puts their own spin on it. Interesting how you stoically kept going around the 1:45 mark and managed to get back to perfection seamlessly. I want to learn to do that too! I agree with you, it is such a fun piece to play. I started out only loving the first movement, but I can see the appeal of the rest as well. Thank you for showcasing everything for us π
KevinM That was lovely, mind! (Welsh accent). I know it said it three times in a row now, but the more I hear the other movements, the more I want to learn the entire piece. It's hard for me to say which I like the best, but I think after the first movement, the 4th is my second favourite. Da iawn ti!
