Sophia I'm ashamed to admit that our cats are strictly monolingual. I always heard that it's best to teach 'm your mother tongue right from the start, but in practice, that just didn't happen. There is an advantage though of being the only one with a foreign language: when I'm angry with a particular somebody, I can stomp all over the house saying whatever I want, and no one knows what I'm saying. It saves a lot of patching up later π
Josephine WieWaldi Oh no, I'm wrong.π Gronings is the least effective I'm afraid. I just looked it up. aine, twije, drije, vare, vieve, zΓ¨zze, zeuven, aachte, negen, tiene.
pianocat I went to a restaurant like that when I was in Japan. Had a delicious concoction called a "croffle", which is indeed a waffle made out of a croissant.
ShiroKuro WieWaldi shiro = white kuro = black? Exactly!! (no "and" needed) Sophia I'd much prefer that over having a robot named after me Yikes!!
ShiroKuro Sophia well at least I didnβt say she was modeled after me π€£π€£ No most definitely not!
rsl12 WieWaldi If you want to learn an effective language, go Bavarian and don't look further: I see room for improvement: Ans, Zwa, Dry, Vir, FΓΌn, Sex, Sim, Akt, Ne, Zen
Nightowl ShiroKuro They did a great job with that restaurant - very clever and innovative design with so much attention to detail. I enjoy learning snippets about other cultures and languages, I think it's good to broaden our knowledge beyond our own part of the world. (It's also useful when completing general knowledge crosswords - double win.) @WieWaldi It's so funny you ended up turning this thread into a conversation about which languages are more efficient - it seems that the stereotype of Germans Bavarians being efficient holds some truth. π Also, I love the pic "How Pianists Dry Their Socks " - genius! π
keystring I love that restaurant, am delighted that it has your name here, and loved learning the meaning. Getting philosophical for moment, it is funny to think how a straight row of black and white keys can create such a kaleidoscope of colourful sound, with its curving ever meandering shapes that vanish the moment the sound stops.
