Christian is talking sometimes of Dr John, here and there at some figures. (And sometimes mentions Longhair.) I never took some time to lookup one of both until you started the thread and linked Dr Johns playing demo.
Oh yes - it sounds like Dr John. Not that fluid, yet. But the same style and aleady very recognizable after only 4 days. Can't wait to hear your version, fully blown in the mid or the end of this month.
Btw - you triggered me. Until now, I only continued with my regular lesson. But I think I will start with Beale Street Blues right away. Unfortunately, sticking to the sheet music only sound quite boring compared to your little excerpt. And I don't have something like my own style yet - except of having my signature metronome clicking.🤣
