IMO, it is way better to reply everyone with a single post. In this case, one can hover over the word "... replied to this" and sees the first lines of all the comments. I find it a bit distracting, if I read something that is addressed to someone else because one writes a long text with many replies in one.

The epigraph provides a very precise description of grotesque, wild joyous dancing. An amazing performance; if this is a work in progress, I’d love to hear the polished piece!

I really like Brian Crain’s arrangement of this favourite. It worked fine without the violin, but it would be nice to hear the two together some day? A very accomplished rendition!

Thank you all so much for listening, and for your kind feedback! Shirokuro, I 'discovered' Max Richter’s music through Monica; I was intrigued when she played his 'Written on the Sky' in one of the ABF Recitals, so I started investigating some of the other works in that album.

MarieJ oh yeah, I bet I heard Monica’s recording too! I’m listening to it now, really lovely! I’ll have to see if I have that in one of the books I have. Neither Written in the Sky nor the Blue Notebooks is in The Faber Music Contemporary Piano Anthology, which is where I know I have a few Richter scores.

Sophia The composition gives off strong vibes of a person singing their heart out while strumming a guitar, and I thought you brought that out very well with the grace notes in the melody and with which notes are emphasized in the left hand.

Schubertian2 Well done and I love the peaceful visual backdrop also. Even though I love the lush blending of sound the pedal adds, I'm a fan of the benefits I get from practicing without pedal. It forces me to really focus on what's next in attempting to get a legato sound. Occasionally I'll fall out of the habit of practicing without pedal and then when I remember to do it again, it's like a superpower.

WieWaldi That was a real treat. I think you nailed the description on this one as rock 'n roll. Not necessarily for beginners as a lot of the elements it it remind me of the impressive riffs from an old Chuck Berry album I used to listen to.
