plop_symphony Great performance! I remember this arrangement from my Alfred days. I think I caught some tasteful embellishments on your part.
Thank you! All credit goes to Alfred's arrangement on this one!
AlbertAndreu Great production! I'm going to buy a hat, and next time I'll record myself wearing it in your honor! Congratulations on the work, it shows. And it sounds very beautiful. The piano is spectacular.
Thank you very much! 🎩
hebele That doesn't sound like first method book piece at all. Well played! And the hat makes an appearance . I hope your busy week has calmed down now so you can have a relaxed weekend. Thanks for managing PT and organizing the recital.
Thank you! I have to admit I didn't like this piece when I started, only learned it out of necessity, but now I don't mind it at all! These final pieces in Alfred's have changed my mind about the series. I had been planning to abandon Alfred's after book 1, but now I think I will continue with it.
rsl12 First of all, what a great sound coming out of your piano. Your hard work on both tuning and setting up the mics really shows. I should probably learn some of your mic setup skills! Second, I see why you needed time to prepare your video. Wow, I have no idea how you do all of that! Three cameras, movement and zooming that seems as if people were holding the cameras, and polished titles. As far as your playing goes, it sounds good, though perhaps not very challenging for you. But I know you were busy with life. Sorry to hear about your Uncle Baby 🙁 anyone with a nickname like "Baby" must have been either a great person or a really spoiled brat. I hope it's the former.
Thanks so much! If I'm being honest, I have zero idea what I'm doing with the mics, but it seems like I've found a decent workflow and so I'll stick to it. Final Cut Pro is what makes the video magic possible. In fact, FCPX is one of the major reasons I converted to Apple's ecosystem over a decade ago... I bought my first MacBook just to run it and I haven't ever regretted it.
I'm glad the piece doesn't sound challenging for me even though it was! The reason I'm just playing all these Alfred pieces now is I'm trying to focus on completing Book 1 and so my progress on other pieces has slowed. I've just been on Alfred's too long and have a desire to complete it and move on. Yes, it was definitely the former, and thank you!
