ShiroKuro Hah! I always manage to creep in last, not just because I publish the recital, but because I'm soooo behind. My recording has to be done on May 11th because that's the last Sunday before the recital goes live, and no way I'm recording on a work day... but I can certainly push creating and uploading the video till the last minute. 🤣

Sam That's like a dream of mine! I can't wait to see it!

Schubertian2 Sorry, on work days I'm slow and so I can't promise an exact time for when things will be ready. I will get everything lined up and open up for submissions by tonight!

I don’t know if my intended piece is going to be ready… it has these jumps and my accuracy rate is not great… 😅
I do have a plant piece, so between the two options, hopefully I’ll be ready…

Ok yesterday I got a recording of my intended piece that is at minimum shareable… also it was helpful to hear and gave me some ideas about what to practice to improve. So I’ll keep working on that and see if I can improve and get a better recording. And if not, I’ll share yesterday’s take.

Or I’ll share the alternate, which is the piano part of the piano+violin duet I’m scheduled to perform next week.

I may have something to submit. MAYBE. It needs a lot of polishing, and it's not very top flight musically, but I've been able to make it sound fairly decent in the time I've been able to sit and play. Basically I'm relying on my sight reading and memorization and hoping my body holds up to get a recording sometime this week.

It's an Elton John piece out of a Faber Popular book for Level 2. Not much better than Baa Baa Black Sheep, but it's something to contribute since the stuff I've been working on won't be ready in time.

Player1 I'm in the same boat. I have a tricky piece that I'm trying to polish, but as it seems unlikely I'll manage that in time I've also been working on something easier, a pop song which is not exactly high brow. It doesn't help that my hands got a bit battered during my gardening exploits so I'm even less keen than usual to show them on video. Ah well, maybe with a bit of TLC they'll heal before the deadline.
Good luck to everyone struggling to get a submission ready, it always feels like a bit of a chore but when you've got it done it's a great feeling. 🙂
