I'm hearing more variety in your improvs. Setting "rules" for how to vary harmony, rhythm, and themes, the way you are doing, is a great way to progress. Keep at it!

Good job with the rhythm and synchronizing your hands. Big difference in quality from your previous recital recording!

Peyton — A Dream of Far Away (part two)
I often like compositions that are born of out improv, the way you've done it. It retains that living feeling that improv gives. Love your work with the percussion. That stuff is totally out of my wheelhouse, and I enjoyed hearing it. It really creates a mood!

Animisha — To a Wild Rose
Is this my first time hearing you play? Your attention to detail is clear. Really lovely, and very polished!

iternabe — Malagueña
Great song for practicing different textures. Good job with the offbeat right hand. Very even!

plop_symphony — A Hermit Crab Surfing
I think this is the hardest song I've heard you play. You kept it very light, as it should be. Good job with keeping the thirds in the right hand together.

Player1 — Legend of Madrid
I'm glad you were able to get something together! Sounds like a tricky piece! I'd Love to hear the piece once you've gotten it polished.

hebele — Minuet in G
I hear you struggling with the trills/mordents! Other than that, it sounds great, and I think you can successfully check off "Minuet in G" from your list of piano milestones. Congratulations!

navindra — Over the Rainbow
Other than the little wobble, it sounds well prepared! Your enjoyment of the piece comes through in the performance.

                          That was a complex piece and you played it excellently. Respect!

                          I like this arrangement and you played it very smoothly. The only suggestion I have is that perhaps the RH could be played a little louder to accent the melody more, but this is just a matter of preference and maybe my view is coloured by having strong memories of hearing the hit song, which was performed as a power ballad.
                          bSharp — Open Arms
                          I loved this performance - it's a great arrangement and you played it beautifully. Also, you have lovely hands and they move very gracefully over the keys - an added bonus for viewers.

                                  SalmonJack Just Mist by SalmonJack - I liked the second video better. Perhaps it was just because the audio wasn't as harsh sounding to me. Or it could have been the pretty pictures.

                                  Rob 'Pembrokeshire Promise.' by Rob - Lovely. The nod to the anthem and the Red Dragon are a nice touch.

                                  BicBic BicBic in Utah - Your performance was well done and I'm waiting to listen to more of you performing Chopin's Masurkas.

                                  Sgisela Danza de los ñáñigos, Ernesto Lecuona - Your concentration on the piece was very visible. That's not saying it was a bad thing, only that I could see it. At the end it was also obvious that you enjoyed playing this piece.

                                  Gooseberry Nights in White Satin by The Moody Blues - Wonderfully played. From the performance I could tell how much emotion was in this for you.

                                                What a lovely relaxing piece of music - I could imagine looking across a river and watching ripples of water as a gentle breeze rustles nearby trees. You are an extremely competent player.

                                                This piece from A's book 1 is very familiar to me - I did tackle it but it's not as easy as it appears and I never played it as well as you - that was very nicely done. 🙂 The hat was a great choice - so stylish! (I think it would look much better without the pony tail though - you could tuck it inside the hat next time, for a smoother look.)

                                                                                              Thank you! I had 2 years of lessons as a child. After a break of several decades, I bought a cheap digital piano in 2010 and tried to learn without a piano teacher. I took piano lessons for a few months in 2015, but had to stop due to time constraints. I have been practicing regularly since 2017, and until 2022 I had occasional lessons with my teacher, 2 to 3 times a year. Now I learn on my own.

                                                                                                  Greta99 Oh, so you are a repeat returner... there seem to be quite a few around here. 🙂 From the time frames you mentioned you're now into your 8th consecutive year of playing, which explains your advanced skill level. You must feel pleased that you stuck with it and now your commitment is paying dividends.

                                                                                                        Nightowl I certainly don't remember playing that well after fourteen months!
                                                                                                        For the most part your rhythm was rock solid, and the final chord was beautifully played.

                                                                                                          iternabe Your playing is perfect! The lessons with @Seeker are certainly paying off. I especially liked the alternating fingers on the E. It makes a subtle, yet significant difference to the sound. Bravo, or should that be, Olé!
