First time in a long time I didn't touch a piano in the morning and I almost didn't touch it at night. It's been that kind of week.

Then I thought about the PACT and played a little anyway. Thank you!

I can absolutely relate, we had some rough times too lately where my mind just wasn’t able to stay focused. But thanks to PACT I too managed to get at least five minutes in each day. 😊

I realized I forgot to sign up for this but I'm going through extreme piano withdrawal right now. It's been 16 days since I've touched a piano due to travel, despite having had several pianos in plain sight (but off limits). Please send help.

The format is described in the top part of this thread. @Sophia is the accountability expert, but if I recall, you post here if there is a day you didn't practice. Then you make a post like this:

Took a bit of a breather today. After this experience, I came dangerously close to not playing the piano at all.

Then I remembered the PACT and I played a piece, perfectly enough, from memory. And I felt better too.

I dropped out of the challenge. It worked quite well at first, and there were a few days when the originally planned 5-minute sessions turned into longer ones, but then I had a big slump and didn't practice at all for a long time. I'm currently trying to establish a regular practice routine. Let's see how that works out. Maybe I'll try again next year.

Greta99 I gave you a like because it's nice seeing you, and not because I like that you dropped out of the challenge. I hope the thing keeping you away from piano is not too terrible.

Haha no no you’re definitely not the only one. I’m still following PACT - I just have nothing to report because I haven’t skipped a day lately. Even yesterday, while I'm between pieces, I spent five minutes at the piano. It counts 🙂

I absolutely promise to report my absences… I take PACT very seriously. Because it's still one of the main motivators that "force" me to be consistent 😎
