I have an update as well. I was traveling for five days last week, so I didn’t practice the days I was away. Actually, I practiced on the day o got back, so I only missed four days.

Since I lost my “played everyday this year” streak, now my goal is to play everyday I’m physically in town.

And I’m on track for that so far. 🙂

Awwww sorry to hear that, @Animisha. A burnout is devastating (my dad had one when I was still living at home many decades ago) and today's world affairs are not exactly helping. And then most of us have to cope with our personal life as well... Shall I just jot down the month of February as a general absence?

@ShiroKuro you didn't mention any specifics, so I'll note you down for March 10-14.

I'm on a business trip until Friday so I thought I would call out my absence but...

My hotel has an upright piano in the lobby. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to play it though especially since it's right next to the restaurant where people are dining. 🤣

First time in a long time I didn't touch a piano in the morning and I almost didn't touch it at night. It's been that kind of week.

Then I thought about the PACT and played a little anyway. Thank you!

I can absolutely relate, we had some rough times too lately where my mind just wasn’t able to stay focused. But thanks to PACT I too managed to get at least five minutes in each day. 😊

The format is described in the top part of this thread. @Sophia is the accountability expert, but if I recall, you post here if there is a day you didn't practice. Then you make a post like this:

Took a bit of a breather today. After this experience, I came dangerously close to not playing the piano at all.

Then I remembered the PACT and I played a piece, perfectly enough, from memory. And I felt better too.

I dropped out of the challenge. It worked quite well at first, and there were a few days when the originally planned 5-minute sessions turned into longer ones, but then I had a big slump and didn't practice at all for a long time. I'm currently trying to establish a regular practice routine. Let's see how that works out. Maybe I'll try again next year.

Greta99 I gave you a like because it's nice seeing you, and not because I like that you dropped out of the challenge. I hope the thing keeping you away from piano is not too terrible.
