PianoTell Recital #2 Is Now Live!

Sophia Nailed it! Your enjoyment of this piece shines throughout this neat and polished performance. I love how this piece is reminiscent of the Legend of Zelda in the beginning, but then it goes full on Joplin. I was thinking of doing something else after Level 1, but this has me reconsidering. Nicely done and very enjoyable!
BicBic Wow! This evokes such sadness and melancholy! Masterfully done! I generally just don't get Scriabin but this one made sense from the start, no doubt due to your interpretation, your innate grasp of the piece, and your topnotch sense of musicality. Bravo!
Btw, when are you getting a Bluetooth page turner pedal?

navindra so the tablet being used in that video is my husband's - but not long after that recording, I bought myself my own tablet for music as my 'reward' for sticking at my restart of piano for a whole year! i am currently attempting my page turns by waving by head to the side! And thank you for your lovely comments. I haven't played many Scriabin pieces yet.
rogerch I love it! It sounds so much like film music... and you did all of that from the sound of a minor fourth? Amazing and very eloquent storytelling. There's so much going on with this. Bravo on your versatility as a musician and composer!
Thanks for being such an inspiration!

Sam Wow! So you compose as well? You never cease to amaze me, and I don't mean that lightly. You are my role model in so many ways like you wouldn't believe e.g. I recently picked up biking.
To me, this definitely feels like a period piece, but also very evocative, and it could fit right in with a story like Twin Peaks in terms of style of music. I really like how delicate it gets as well.
Color me impressed. Bravo for bringing this new piece of music to life!

MarieJ I love this! It's so delicately played with such a nice range and your artwork complements it perfectly! Nice touch with the animations of your art! You always have a knack for finding the best music and doing it justice with your performances. Very nice!
Player1 Short and sweet! Nicely done learning this in such a short time too!
Rubens Absolutely stunning, Rubens! It's a whole other league. I'm really glad you decided to share this. Beautiful story telling and what an emotional rollercoaster ride. Bravo!
Btw, I'm not familiar with this piece, but the ending feels a little unresolved!
Cratersmash Wow! What an ambitious undertaking and such a spirited performance of such a challenging piece. And you're doing all of this from memory? Is this the longest piece in the recital? Please allow me to pick up my jaw from the floor!
Gooseberry I love it! You've only been playing since 2021?? This is very impressive work, you absolutely nailed it, and this is a single take?? This piece also sounds excellent... I may have to learn this, if only I could play it as smoothly and expressively as you, I'd be so happy. I enjoyed this a lot! Nicely done indeed.
Rob Stunning. I loved everything about this. The piano sounded so good and multi-dimensional. The composition sounds like top hit material and movie-worthy, and the video was so tastefully done. Goosebumps. Congratulations on your achievement here.
TC3 Playing, composing, and singing. What a hat trick! Thanks so much for this entertaining performance. You're completely at ease on the stage and a natural showman! You deserve the mic!

Too kind. I'd definitely call that "arranging" rather than "composing" and not very creative arranging at that.
I'm also getting better at singing it. I might post another version sometime, maybe with the band (guitar + drums).
Enthusiastic but mediocre amateur.
