navindra thank you! Just wondering, is Flarum a relatively new forum interface? I'm a little surprised at some of the things that have come up!

      twocats Yes, in the scheme of things, Flarum is quite new.

      At its core, Flarum functionality is very basic, but then you can add on extensions for additional functionality. There are many extensions, which is nice, but at the same time, they can be of uneven quality because they might be developed independently... it's an open contribution model.

      In this case, Subscriptions is a core extension but is missing this setting for some reason. The two options would be to find another extension that adds the missing functionality or I'd probably have to go deep into the code.

      Flarum 2 may be coming in 2025, so maybe we'll be seeing some nice improvements then?

          navindra I see, thanks for the details! It sounds like the kind of software where someone will fix small bugs pretty quickly 🙂

            I agree with what many say here, and think this forum should ensure it stays civil.

            If someone(s) posts comments that provide no value to the conversation, such as being antagonistic for the sake of it, then I say ban.

            Examples (making some up here as well): “this is a stupid post.” “It amazes me how some commenters here have no idea about spruce wood” “I think YOU are the one who’s mistaken.” “Anyone who knows music would know (fill in the blank” “OP is clearly just trying to get attention”

            You catch my drift 🙂 for those, it comes across to me as projection, and hoping that by bringing down others, that it will somehow make them be perceived better which it doesn’t.

            I sincerely hope we manage that quickly in the unfortunate case that it does. Fingers crossed!

Heard that there has been some drastic changes at PW and this is a break-away forum from PW, so I figure I'd register here if only for nostalgia. I wish this forum good luck.

            I wasn't a PW member long and stopped being active when it was sold.

            @navindra is there a way to add user location? Of course an optional field 🙂 I always thought it was very useful to see where people were from if they are asking about local dealers, or even just to realize that some people are in the same town!

            I love this site, it seems far simpler to navigate than a certain other site (which may soon become history, the way things are going). I was very pleased to find that I was able to upload my profile picture with no problems, something that the other site could not seem to cope with. I also love the chosen colour theme and the fact that members from the other site are identified with a gold star.
            Thanks for all your hard work in creating and running this site.

            Things I would like to see:

            • Dark theme
            • More response options - rather than like I'd love to see emoticons so we can respond to a post with 🙂 or 👍️ or 😢 or 😆 etc

                    When I click on the Piano Tell link on the top banner, I would expect that to refresh the site...but it does not. I have to use the refresh button on the browser. Is that an option that can be implemented, or is it just how this forum software works?

                      Is there a way to "ignore" an entire subforum? I feel like the easiest way to see new threads here is through the "All Discussions" button and if I could mute certain subforums it would be awesome!
