@navindra bummer, I just tried it and I was hoping to see the posts with new threads indicated! I'll just keep using "all discussions" for now and mute the threads I'm not interested in.

    navindra thank you! It did technically work but then the unread posts just go to the beginning of the thread 🙁

      navindra Nevermind…I think it’s just the notifications that don’t update unless I do a full browser refresh. It’s a small detail.

          navindra can you add the ability to mute subforums in the "all discussions" view to the list? There has got to be a plug in for this. Thank you!!

              Is it possible to have some parts or topics of this forum only visible for members?

              Maybe we can create an off topic area for it, and move some topics to it.

                I've only been on PW for a bit over a year and don't post a lot. I'm interested to see how this forum does.

                  twocats Yes, I imagine it's possible. It can be done globally, so it should be possible per-user, but most likely would need an extension to support that.

                  Josephine Yes, this is possible. However, anyone can easily create an account. Individual chats are possible and those would never be automatically visible to anyone except the participants. Maybe we could have a forum only visible to Gold Members?

                  I've added the above two requests to the feature request list.

                        I am not sure if I am worthy of a Star either, I was only part of PW since 2010 and then also PC in the dark Side since it went live. I do thing this forum is very different to PC and is very welcoming. I feel that I would be free to respond and contribute more than the old one too. I wish we can make a great success of this safe place. Thank you to Navindra for taking the initiative and creating this.

                        I hope all my friends from PW are doing well.

                        It has been sometime. In the meantime I've moved to Wales and my outside of work mental energies have been consumed by trying to learn Welsh. After almost 2 years I will give it a break for a year, which hopefully means some time again for piano.

                        We started the process of building a piano room, but an elderly neighbour with dementia has killed that. We spoke to them before starting work and everything seemed fine. But it all blew up in our face, so my ambition for an acoustic piano remains on hold.

                        In the last month I've started poking at my digital piano after a long break.

                          Is this where we introduce ourselves? I'm a long-time PW member. Began lurking in 2005, joined in 2007 and posted a fair bit until around 2019 when I felt I'd said all I had to say (and probably a few things I shouldn't have said...) 😃 However, I was still reading the posts at PW regularly (Pianists Corner & Teachers mostly) until the ADS got to me. Some of my favourite posters have migrated here, which is nice, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this develops. BTW, I too like the names Learners Lounge and Pianist Zone - both have a comfy, welcoming vibe.
                          And could I please have a nice little star?? 🙂
