MRC Of course you can play a piece by simply pressing the right keys at the right time, but this doesn't mean you understand it.

Come on, don't be harsh. 😉Maybe one doesn't understand the music theory, that's it.
Michael Jackson could not read notes, so he probably didn't know much about music theory. He composed by only singing and others wrote down the notes. If one says, he didn't understand the music theory of his compositions, is probably a fair point. But to say he wouldn't understand (his own) music is hilarious.

LOL, it's ok. I'm used to people underestimating my genius and mad skills.

For what it's worth, music theory is an ongoing problem for me. I blame the method books (ALL of them) for not being clearer and requiring the student to rely on the knowledge of a teacher to set them straight when there are questions without acknowledging that the books are generally used by self learners. This is a failing by the authors and shouldn't ever be laid at the feet of the students.

In the meantime, youse guys haven't seen anything yet.

This is the current and ongoing plan. It would be nice to know some of the theory stuff better than I do but it's not required in order to play. And playing is the goal because I'm not going to be a teacher or professional.

To tell the truth I'm even a bad role model because it's impossible for anyone to achieve my level of greatness. Not that you shouldn't try. Just be prepared to have to accept that, on the carousel of life, all the brass rings are already mine.

That is definitely an authentic photograph ... because he clearly has five normal digits/finger (thumb included) on each hand. And two arms. That means authentic photograph.

His lower lip on his left side has a white coloured region which is kind of scary.
