I have started to practise this lovely Adagio and I am struggling with the right hand fingering in measure 19.
Is there a more comfortable solution than the one I have come up with and still play legato? I would prefer not to use the pedal instead of finger legato, because I don't like the booming sound of a pedal in a piece that is otherwise played without a pedal.

Are you sure it should be played without pedal?

Legato doesn't mean every single note has to be legato. On m. 19 the melody shifts to the middle voice so I would not do all this finger switching and just lift finger 5 while keeping the middle line legato. It will still sound legato.

Not at all! But I'll start playing as legato as I can with my fingers.

      Good idea!

I would not use the combo 3-4 for the Bb and D in bars 19 and 20. Too awkward. Try using 3-5 in bar 19 and not switch to the 4th finger on D. In bar 20, try 1-3 on the Bb and D.
