I'm sorry if this is a FAQ, but I don't see a search facility on PianoTell (is there one?).
I understand how the Dampp Chaser can add humidity to the environment in close proximity to the soundboard of the piano. How does it remove humidity when the general RH is higher than ideal? Is it simply the presence of the slightly warm metal bars? If so, it must switch off the bar that supports the damp pad. Thanks.
