It is probably a fool's errand for me to try and strategically time a tuning. For one thing, my technician is busy, so I have to schedule considerably in advance. Also, we live at the edge of the woods about a hundred feet from a small pond. It tends to get pretty humid in warmer weather here (CT).
On the day of the tuning, the humidity was shown as being 97% with a dew point of 66, I believe. It also warmed to around 90Β° F. While I had air conditioning on periodically, and I have the Dampp Chaser installed and operating in what I assume to be dehumidification mode, ultimately there's not much more we can do.
Accordingly, I did notice some quicker post-tuning shifts in unisons over the next couple of days than is usual with this piano. But it still sounds nice, and when the slipping unisons become more noticeable, I can hopefully correct them myself.
