Sophia OMG I felt worn out just watching that! I can't say I enjoyed the manic playing at the end but all the same he's a very skilful player.

@Sophia How is your chord progress? I tried it yesterday - took me a few attempts but it was nicely under my fingers again. I consider your current lesson as one of the most valuable of them all.

Btw: Still stuck at ~80bpm. Need to reach somewhere between 110 and 120. And rsl's "Faster!!!" helped a 🥔

Ha! I can now play 4 of the 16 chords smoothly This is not using the right hand yet. At this speed, I'll master the lesson by 2028 😃 (no, I promise to increase my time at the piano from today onwards again) 😃

My boogie isn't that easy. Because easy in boogie is a wide range. Ok, it is easy when played slowly. The difficulty lies in getting the good old trusted humpty dumpty LH up to speed. It is exactly as Christian mentioned in his introduction words. The other two lessons were easy bloody beginner boogie level. This one is just easy beginner boogie - without the bloody. In ranges somewhere in the middle of easy boogie woogie. 😲

Hey there now! First, I'm very very proud. I spent an hour at the piano today - in four 15 minutes sessions. Which means I can now play.... tadaaaaaa!!! Four bars, in triple slow motion, and very interesting embellishments sometimes referred to as "mistakes". Simba figured even his katzenjammer couldn't improve things, and left the room in disgust.

But I made a real start at last!!!

And Sophia already finished her recital piece, something with Moooozart♪♫, because her cats like Moooozart♪♫ the best. For this, you have to wait until mid November. I am sure, it will be outstanding. Seriously, her cats prefer it over blues - can you believe this? 🤨

Oh 💩 - I haven't prepared anything for November recital... And then there is X-mas PIYW in December. Yikes!

I aim to have the last place on the AL list - it's where I belong so you needn't try to pressure me into uploading a vid yet.

Sophia's cats are classy so they are bound to be elite in their musical taste. If they were human they'd probably all have music diplomas and would not lower themselves to play anything less than the classical masterpieces.

Gospel blues: can now play lick #1 with sheet music (obviously I am not able to store 15 different chords in my memory bank, my 5 brain cells get overloaded easily)/ Currently my speed is 3 bpm. And 3 out of 4 notes are still wrong, making my ears scream. Progress! 😋
