I've been talking to @keystring about a piece of music I wrote back in 2022, and it occurred to me that since it's a boogie/blues in G, I'd post it here. One caveat, it's not for beginners!
I haven't seen the LH pattern used elsewhere, but I have no doubt I've copied it, if only subconsciously, from somewhere else.
The inspiration for the piece was twofold:
- to write something with a lot of diminished 'stuff' in it (see the dim7ths thread).
- I think I'd been listening to a lot of Jools Holland at the time.
Annoyingly even though I wrote it, I never managed to get it really smooth, and when I tried to improvise on it, it always fell apart. I'm re-learning it at the moment and trying to improve it.
Don't think I've posted it here before, but I couldn't be bothered to trawl through the 1000+ posts to check π€£
