Hmmm... you are right, I guess.
Rowlf is the more famous of both. I consider him as a main character. The band (except Animal) are more like supporting characers. Anyway, I need a dog as avatar, otherwise my Waldi-name won't work.

Yep, definitely after Dr. John.

As far as I know, Rowlf wasn't based on any specific pianist, just a general type of singing / player. His personality probably shared the most with Jim Henson himself.

Blues Piano in G String...

Unfortunately, I missed recording licks 1 to 3, but who cares. Those licks were better blues scales and I had a hard time to fit them into the routine, anyway. (But I can play 'em. Honestly.) And now I consider this as finished. Done. Bye. Adios.

Btw: @Sophia, it's your turn to find out which part(s) comes from my head.

WieWaldi Oh wow, that was AWESOME!!! 🤩 You truly are the BBK and your playing seems to get more confident with every piece you play. It's clear you're a natural for this genre, maybe it's because you have Bavarian blue blood running through your veins (even more freely now that the black wrist band is no longer restricting blood flow to your hand). You make it all look so effortless, you're definitely not a BB any longer.
I think the friendly rivalry between you and @Sophia is spurring both of you on to great things, it will be interesting to see whether Bavarian blue blood gives you more advantage than Sophia's Musical Genes (which I hardly ever mention) but anyway it's great fun watching your parallel journeys. 🙂

That was very good. As I've probably mentioned before G is my favourite blues key. Everyone tends to start with C, but in fact G is actually easier. The licks and riffs fall under your fingers better; well they do for me.

Thanks, my nocturnal friend.🦉 It's always a pleasure to see your funny statements. You are absolutely right, Sophia is pushing me to my best. But sooner or sooner she will catch up. There isn't enough BBKing inside me to hold a candle against her musical genes (which I promised not to mention anymore; this is your job). When she started, I was at lesson 14 of the Bloody Beginners course, now she finished 6 and I 11. You see, my lead is melting like a scoob of ice cream under the tropical sun.

Nightowl you're definitely not a BB any longer.

No worries, I left that stage behind, many moons ago. Sophia and I are Total Beginners™, now.

Actually, I felt G is a bit harder. On C, my LH is doing the same over the complete chord progression. On G, the D7 part needs a different black/white key pattern, but with the same fingering. It's so easy to fall back into wrong muscle memory and missing the keys.
But I absolutely agree, G sounds more pleasing.

It's so nice that you abandoned the old wristband in favour of something more classy, because you are a class act my fine Bavarian friend. You give hope to BB's like me, because in 3.5 years of learning piano unaided by a teacher you've reached a high level of skill, proving that with patience and practice great things are possible.
