Well, I joined here, I think it would be great if the same kind of vibe that’s at PW could be found here. Who else from PW is here?

twocats You have to choose, you're either two cats or a flying monkey. Being both simply isn´t credible.

On a more serious note, Retsacnal is misreading the situation IMO, but I can see it is distressing when a social community you have been very active in is falling apart.

pianogabe he may not believe that Navindra has good intentions but I find it hard to believe that he doesn't now see that VerticalScope is far worse. But yes, I can appreciate that it's upsetting. Can discuss it privately if anyone wants but I don't want it to turn into a thing here 🙂

navindra Thanks navindra, it's a comfort to see all the familiar names from PW. This seems to be a 'nasty' action that disturbed many of us. Thank you for suggesting a viable option.

I like the current name just fine. I see no problem with it.

Also, I understand frustration with individuals, but taking the high road and not discussing that here is a much better look for this new endeavor. The cleaner it stays, the more legit and honorable it looks, which is for the good of this community, which I'm enjoying and appreciate. Pm would be a more harmless way to blow off steam, imho.

I didn't mean for it to start a discussion as it was just a joke (that I still find hilarious). How better to deal with being called names than to own it? But I'll take it down as you're right, we should take the high road here 🙂

That’s a quote (that circulates often in management courses, psychology articles, etc.) I’ve shared before with leaders whom I’ve provided leadership coaching to (in a current/previous profession of mine). And it’s one that I try to internalize as well.

For some reason I thought about that amidst some recent posts above. 🙂

I think PianoTell is a fine name. "Piano Talk" is perhaps more descriptive, but it reminds me of pillow talk, which doesn't do much for me. [Smile emoji here. I need to learn how to do emojis here.] I think if the official name is Piano Tell World Forum it should turn up if someone searches 'piano' and 'forum', yes?

No one has mentioned Piano Street as another piano discussion site. I haven't visited there in some time, but it has been around awhile.

Stub If I search (using Google) for "piano tell forum", it finds PW, Piano Clack, Piano Street but not Piano Tell.

For a while I was regularly on Piano Street and PW at the same time... I can't remember why I stopped visiting Piano Street. Maybe I didn't like the all-black look?? Probably it was a "vibe" thing, as I recall, it had a pretty different from compared to PW.
I thought Piano Street had gone away as a site, but someone recently said that it is still active. Anyway, I'm fine with the piano sites I'm in at the moment.

I started out classical but came on over to the dark side. LOL!! Haven't played classical in decades but love some good ol' Piano Jazz. 🙂

Also haven't played an acoustic piano in quite a while, either. Most of my play time is on a Roland RD-2000. And to think, I used to be a piano tech. (That's what the handle is, actually, a "bellyman" being someone who builds soundboards, bridges, pinblocks, that kind of thing. It's been a long time since I've done any of that, too.)

David-G Google algorithms are complex and what is shown varies between users. For me this site is the top result if I google the same phrase "piano tell forum".

candela Interesting. If I search with Duckduckgo Piano Tell comes at the top of the list.

David-G Another reason to use DDG! Google is pretty unreliable. But there is a time lag, so if people keep posting here, eventually it will start to show up.
