Nightowl How long is the version you're trying to master?
Currently about 10 minutes. 5 minutes of them spent on the last lines. The demo of the tutorial is 3 minutes and a few seconds; this is about the landmark I want to reach.
In terms of pages: if you buy it, is comes at 4 pages. I managed to print all lines into 3 pages in total, reducing some white space here and there, and especially decreasing the size of the title text. It's 18 lines in total; 6 on each page, now.
Well, it is somewhere in the intermediate level. Maybe early intermediate if you omit the solo part. But in any case it is above beginner level.
Nightowl I believe you could reduce this version quite radically and still capture the essence of the piece.
Yes, the easiest way to do so, is just to play the same verse repeated. But in this case, it would sound very repeating. The variants in the verses are the magic powder that makes the entire piece less boring. I like CF's arrangement quite well. It is easy under the fingers, it sounds lush, it is not too short, not too long, and he baked some blues elements into the last verse. Those make me currently struggle, because they are very different to the previous ones. I think, I'll play the last one a bit different than written. I'll use some elements of the other verses, put them in a bag and shake it hefty.
