upcoming gig (what's on your set list?)

@ShiroKuro "Nice! What are you playing?" [from another thread] Weather permitting, we're hosting / playing a party this Sunday afternoon in a local park. It's a whole bunch of friends and colleagues (largely from academia), just hanging out, chatting over beers, and listening to us play a bunch of tunes. Here's our programme: I've talked about my "garage band" before, but a quick summary for folks who might not have seen it. It's a three-piece, me on either bass guitar or keys (per the notes by the set headers), my lovely wife Jacque ("Jackie") on drums, and our pal Steve on guitar. We share lead vocal duties (above: Steve is pink, I'm green, Jacque is blue) and provide backing vocals where needed. Steve is new to music. I just started teaching him guitar a couple of years ago, and he had no musical background whatsoever before that. He's doing okay but I admit to getting frustrated by his lack of progress sometimes. None of us are perfect and we all make mistakes during performances (I certainly do), but Steve makes more than his fair share ... Ultimately, it doesn't really matter. We're not trying to play serious public / paying gigs, just house / garage / park parties for a friendly audience for fun, so it's all good. I hope to get some decent video; if so, I'll share. Again: this is all if the weather behaves ...

@Simonb I'm not sure, but I don't think the site hosts video files on-site, just links to off-site storage.

Be warned (per another thread) that if you link from Google Drive, it is possible for us to see some of your personal information (depending on what you have on Google).

Personally, I'd advise using YT but making your video Unlisted, then pasting the link here. Then it won't be on YT for all the world to see, just those who click on the link / see the embedded link here.

The song is copyrighted anyway, so YouTube won't allow me to upload it, even unlisted, unless it's cut back to about 19 secs! And that really isn't worth posting....

It's not your fault, sometimes you can upload other peoples songs, and I have in the past, so no apology is required.
I considered uploading it under a different name, but decided against that, as probably that's technically breaking the law!

TC3 I'll be using Gumlet for the first time when I upload my "Last Song" PIYW. I'll let you know how it goes. The registration process was painless, and the interface looks friendly and clean.

Are you sure? Did you already try?

I upload copyrighted stuff all the time, and sometimes I get the "this is copyrighted" message but I'm still able to get it uploaded.

I've managed to upload the only video clip (50secs) from the gig to YouTube, which is from "Come Up and See Me". Originally a hit for Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel (back in the early 70s) if you don't know it!

Sadly the quality's not great as it came from WhatsApp.

Thanks, yes Rachel is good singer and much more than just a backing vocalist. In fact she sang lead vocal on Moondance, Smooth Operator, Heroes, Whats Up and Valerie in the above mini set.

My days of serious gigging a long past, so I don't have as many to report as you. We're scheduled to play a Halloween party, and will largely play the same sets but hopefully with a few new tunes. I'm working up an arrangement of "Every Day is Halloween" by Ministry at the moment ...
