I just finished my 3 recording sessions. Now to let my spouse consider which one I should submit. Then to trim the ends and do the final presentation touches and upload to youtube!

None are flawless. But I can live with any of them for a first time effort!

Boy, can I remember those piano recital nerves. I left them without a single memory of what the heck happened on stage.

Now I can live and re-live my ignominy. 😉

The selection of choice is one I need to re-record. I recently figured out how to get 4 pages on my 27” monitor but hadn’t quite smoothed out the page turn transition that’s no longer needed.

A few more practice runs and that one will be ready for a take, and, given this is my first public piano performance in 40 years (seriously) my idea of ‘ready for performance’ is forgiving. I hope my audience will be.

ShiroKuro Probably not, but there are probably a dozen reasons why some people might not want to be number 13 (although I rather like that number). There are normally around 20 submissions but the extreme heat conditions over many parts of the northern hemisphere might have had an effect - there have been a few days this summer where I could not face practising piano.

I did some B-roll today. I've never been so late... I still don't have a video.

But... there's still time to get it done! And we do have support in the recital software for late submissions. (I know at least one person is still working on it.)
