I have done two rounds of recording so far, Saturday and yesterday. There are two recordings (out of maybe 8 takes) that I suppose I could use, but each of them has one “fatal flaw” — I now can’t remember what the specific flaw was, but when I record, I make a note of whether something is “shareable” or not, and if there’s an glaring or otherwise painfully obvious mistake, I write “fatal flaw” in my notes.
There were also two recordings with no fatal flaws, but both were under tempo and they sound “draggy” to me.
So I’m hoping to get a shareable recording that’s at the tempo I like and without any fatal flaws…
I have about a week left (because I have a conference coming up where I’m giving the plenary so I need to have my recording done before I leave for that).
We’ll see what I can manage…
