Another random thing: I often find making a video of myself playing all by myself even more nerve-wracking than playing for an audience! With a video, I feel like I have to make it perfect or else every mistake will be captured for all to see and see again. Live, I feel like a few mistakes are pretty easily forgivable by the audience (who might not even notice!) as long as it's a good performance as a whole.
That's why I've started posting "good enough" videos, warts and all; for example, my recent Boulanger piece, with at least one very obvious mistake in it! I need to get into the habit of saying, "oh well, if it's good enough for a live audience, it's good enough for a video."
