Not only did this not happen, but things seem to have gone fairly smoothly with one single glitch! 😎

With the final button push this:

Cleans up system posts
Renumbers posts sequentially
Updates all timestamps
Approves all submissions
Removes the submission tag
Renames the discussion
Updates the index post
Adds reserved slots for late submissions
Adds a closing post
Stickies the discussion

The glitch was due to a typo in the title template... all fixed now.

There is one thing I wonder about. The links in the index of the regular recitals allow me to click on a submission and the thread is re-opened in the same tab (almost like scrolling).
The links of the PIYW opens a new tab. But hovering the mouse over the links of both indexes looks like they are made the same way.
Is there a hidden trick to make a link that opens in the active tab?

No one will appreciate it more than I do. It cut out a lot of work me, but even more for you!

rsl12 Oh yes. It takes me 1 hour+ to publish a recital... but part of that is because I'm also readying my own submission last minute. 😃

PIYW has some pretty unique requirements as well, particularly with the templating support.

Anyway, we're the primary ones who get to enjoy the benefits, but I look forward to being able to publish a recital on a work day just by pressing a button and not looking back. 🙂

WieWaldi Seems like it's a regression in Flarum 1.8.15 and has nothing to do with my extension. I didn't notice I think because ~~I might have been testing on an older version of Flarum~~ of caching:

WieWaldi This is fixed now. The problem was not actually anything to do with Flarum 1.8.15 itself but was related to another extension I have installed (v17development-seo). All links open inline by default now and have the same attributes.

I'm not sure if it's better or not better to have external links open in a new tab or not. I unfortunately also don't remember how it was working before I even became aware of this distinction. I figure that if folks want to open a link in a new tab, they already know how to do so?

Previously, external links opened in a new tab, but now they open in the same tab as PT. In my opinion, it might be better to have them open in a new tab again. I think that is the behaviour of 99% of the websites now, so you'd be following convention. And, personally I prefer it (or perhaps I have just been conditioned enough into thinking that's the way it feels more natural now, which amounts to the same thing lol 😃)

Sophia I prefer links that open in the same tab. If I want a new tab I can right click and “Open in new tab”.

I have a hard enough time managing the tabs that I have created. I don’t need websites creating more tabs and making it worse! 🙂

I prefer a new tab for external links, and the same tab for internal links.
If the forum doesn't allow differentiation, I agree to rogerch for the exact same reasons and prefer to open everything in the same tab.

WieWaldi Right, that's exactly what I was trying to say (you said it better). But honestly I'm fine with whatever gets decided 🙂
