Vidal piano controller

I am way too tempted by the vidal piano controller. There are big cons, but I'm a sucker. High price No one to repair it in the UK No way to actually test before buying I'd love to have an acoustic piano, but I just can't see it happening. The vidal piano controller is hand crafted and hand built. It looks like a beautiful piece of furniture and could really help provide that piano room vibe. It gives every impression the guys have done the homework/research/experimentation to make a quality virtual piano controller action. I know my emotional gut reaction is not sensible. But I keep thinking about it. I have been looking at getting some custom built furniture to contain my MP11SE and to get something that looks good and that is also expensive. Not so much as the Vidal controller of course. But my current setup is ugly as can be and I want it to be nice. I also find the design of the Kawai Novus and the Yamaha equivalents to be ugly. But even if I got the vidal controller, I'd still need some kind of cabinet for the computer/speakers and possible mixer. (I currently use a small yamaha mixer). https://playvidal.com/products/vidal

I emailed asking if they have an expected dispatch date yet and got a quick reply.

No dispatch date yet, but was told I'm now fourth in the production queue. Though I have no knowledge what that means in terms of time. If they make 50 a year then it is four weeks away from production, but that is just a guess.

I did also ask about tools for regulating the controller, I don't want to have wait for another delivery from the US to make any adjustments if any are needed after delivery. So I need to make up my mind on what to get.
