It's been quite the weekend with the red button gremlins conspiring against me. If I didn't give it away already, I chose a song this time, making my life twice as hard, aside of the gremlins. I don't know if I have a usable take for the recital, sadly I was not 100%, and I'm just starting to understand what I want to do with this piece musically. Most likely I'll redo it post-recital.

Ok folks, there are just a few days left before the recital goes live on Saturday. I hope those performances are still coming! 😬

I appreciate this sentiment, and the encouraging words. I’m only a few months into learning the piano. I hope to participate in the next recital . Hopefully by then I’ll have a bit more experience under my belt.

Having a bit of a panic attack with my video. This time I thought I'd use an iPhone with Blackmagic Camera to replace my failing Sony Alpha NEX-5R on B-roll duties and it’s been a bit of a learning curve. I'm hoping this will pan out!

I'm in!! I stupidly did not take @Nightowl 's advice however many weeks (?) ago and this is the first time I've tried to record my piece. It's rough, but that's ok.

ShiroKuro Don't feel stupid - many humans generally find it much easier to give advice than take it.

I'll admit I don't always listen to long pieces in their entirety from start to finish, especially if they're not to my musical taste. In that case I listen to the beginning, the middle and the end, which gives me a flavour of the piece. So, if you have played the first minute, the fourth minute and the seventh minute well, you needn't worry about me spotting any mistakes in the remaining sections! 😁

The first minute is definitely the worst! Well, no, the first 3 minutes. Then it gets steadily better (or stays the same) through to the end. 😅

Wait, are you one of the folks who said they don’t like Canon in D? (My memory is rubbish).

My recital piece is Canon in D, but it’s 7 minutes long. So no one who dislikes the Canon should listen to it. 😁
