ShiroKuro Sam Yikes that's a lot of software!!
I am not a Mac user, so I don't know if there's a Windows version.... Also if I'm just doing this very infrequently....
If you want to use one software to deal with both video and audio, I can vouch for DaVinci Resolve. It's available on windows (and MacOS, Linux), and it's free. IMHO if you decide to spend time learning how to edit video proficiently, even just at amateur level, DaVinci Resolve is the one that's worth your time. It is capable of professional quality work, very well designed, and combines all the useful tools into a single software (as opposed to Adobe which splits the video, effect and audio functionalities to Premiere, After Effects, and Audition). Granted it's not as simplified as iMovies. But they have great tutorials.
Doing video/audio editing infrequently is a real problem that I myself sometimes encounter, too. It's a conundrum. Until AI can do this for us, it's hard to find a tool that don't need learning & practice yet can do a good job. My solution is to learn the software enough so that I can have an editing routine that does what I want but also requires as little time as possible, then do use this routine often. For example, to extract a piece from my daily practice video and upload to YouTube now takes me 10 minutes, 15 at most. That is time I can spare to do at least once a week to stay fresh with the process.
