ShiroKuro The wood floor and piano are nice but the rest of the room is not at all to my taste.

pianoloverus yeah I didn’t notice the curtains but now that you mention the room … those curtains are kinda yucky!!

pianoloverus I have to agree - the floors are nice. The piano has beautiful legs but it’s not my favorite style. The price would only get you a 4 bedroom tract house in much of California, though. That looks like a fairly large home.

From what I've seen of recent listings, my prediction is that within 6-12 months, we're going to see a huge glut of pianos with unusual numbers of legs, and non-88-key profiles, and maybe backwards or inside-out lids, in staged real estate listings soon...

Gombessa and none of those weird pianos will have correct black&white key layouts.

Also, what a whimsical house! I want to go inside and have a closer look at everything!

MRC Not at all to my taste. The busiest looking room I think I have ever seen. Gives me a headache just to look at it.

You can see more images of the interior on the listing (the link I posted). I find the whole place wonderfully inviting: I'd love to know more about the people who have lived there and why they're selling.

@MRC I did a search with the image of the piano, and there was an electric piano in the 1930's called neo bechstein. It looks like it.

I didn't know the Neo-Bechstein. It certainly has a solid lyre, but there are other details (for instance the music stand and the lid that opens in one part, without first folding back) that don't correspond with the piano in that listing.

MRC yes, I looked at all the listing photos in the link you shared. I agree, it's very inviting!

I see it now, and the name on the piano is also too short. I couldn't find other pianos with a solid lyre. Maybe the lyre was custom made. But there are so many piano brands.

I like this house a lot, lots of natural light, great job with the MCM interior etc. Also, I love how this site does its photos, they fill up the screen, unlike Zillow or other platforms.

ShiroKuro I like this house much, much more than the others. The only thing I found unusual and not to my liking was the total lack of windows on the front side. What could possibly be the reason for that? If people are very concerned about privacy, can't they just have windows with blinds or curtains?

I'd be very happy with any of the ones posted so far. Most of them are vastly bigger than the space I have at present. So for that reason alone I'd bite your hand off, or indeed a lot more, to have that space. Can always re-decorate if you don't like the current styling.

For my taste the 3rd picture is my favourite, as it is.

Yes the white decor, though looking through again now, the 2nd one is rather splendid as well.

As it is I'll settle for my 4.2m x 2.9m room with my Yamaha upright in it.
And that's still a dream come true for me, as I only moved here just under 5 months ago.

Prior to that the properties I've owned have either been too small for a real Piano, or not detached, so I risked upsetting the neighbours.
