Ok, I had my first lesson with the new teacher. I think she will work out, at least for the summer.... She performs regularly, which I have found makes a big difference. And we already seemed to develop a really nice rapport, which helps a lot too.
Today we worked on pieces that I am really close to having polished, so it's kind of a weird dynamic (as opposed to having a piece I still can't play yet and working on that). But we talked about musicality, which was great (especially after the teacher I had one lesson with last week).
So I'll see how it goes -- unfortunately I have a work conflict so no lesson next week, and then when I see her the week after next, I will have finished my piano+violin performance hopefully have recorded Hana-Bi for the PT recital, so I should be into brand new pieces, so that will probably show me more details about how she is a teacher...
Anyway, I feel hopeful 🙂
