Greta99 — Berceuse, Op. 23 No. 1
A new composer to me, and what a delicate, pretty piece. Your rendition was flawless - I loved it!

ShiroKuro — Wind
I think Brian Crain has been under-represented in Recitals; he has composed some interesting pieces and this one was no exception. A polished performance - you have every reason to be pleased.

navindra — Over The Rainbow
The technical details were fascinating, the Alfred’s arrangement seemed too advanced to be a Book 1 selection, your video was top quality, your piano is gorgeous - oh, and did I mention your performance? I can’t see how “it could have been better”. A terrific submission on all counts!

    @MarieJ thank you!!

BicBic rogerch — Flutter - Sounded great, loved the feel of it, made me think of a bright spring morning

Thanks @BicBic ! I’m glad you liked it!

Thank you! For me it was the other way around. I discovered Mel Bonis when I was looking for pieces for Female Composers Recital. Most of the pieces I found were rather difficult. It was only later that I discovered that she had composed a lot of easy pieces for children.

You've taken improvisation to the next level. That sounded more like a composition to me. I really liked the oriental touch. Very nice!

I think this piece has some parts that are quite uncomfortable to play but you make it look so easy. It's a beautiful performance.

I haven't heard many pieces by Gershwin, but I love this one. It's an interesting arrangement, with that repetitive pattern in the left hand. I liked your interpretation, the tempo you chose works good for me. Great job!

I really liked the dynamic range and the clear articulation, but also how relaxed your hands look. Wonderful!

Final comments! Thank you everyone for sharing your performances, and to everyone who listened, liked and commented on mine!

Sam — "An Important Event" from the Scenes from Childhood - That sounds like a fun exercise for the piano group! I thought this sounded great, and this tempo sounds good to me - makes the important event seem ‘grander’ than the faster renditions!

Rob — Pembrokeshire Promise - A beautiful part of Wales! The piece sounded very nostalgic, perhaps how you were feeling when you wrote it. Very nice!

Sgisela — Danza de los ñáñigos - Another very cool (and tricky!) dance piece from you! I really enjoyed this piece and your playing.

Gooseberry — Nights in White Satin - Lovely playing! I bet it was fun putting it together from a few different sources.

bSharp — Journey - Open Arms - Very nice! I enjoyed the contrast in your playing between the flowy-bit and the LH octavey-bit.

Greta99 — Berceuse, Op. 23 No. 1 - This was lovely! I’ve never heard of the composer, I will have to check her out. Thank you for sharing!

ShiroKuro — Wind - really cool! The piece and your playing captures a sense of mystery and wistfulness for me.

navindra — Over The Rainbow - Great arrangement and nicely played! I didn’t understand everything you said about the sound production but I thought it sounded really fantastic!

Thank you @BicBic !! “Mystery and wistfulness” — that’s lovely!

      Sgisela
      Thank Sgisela! That was lovely!

Greta99 Thank you for your kind comments.

Seeker I’ve been playing around with this plugin for a few days and it’s an interesting tool. Obviously our setups are very different, but I’m curious around how much do you turn up the width dial in your recordings?

rach3master Can't remember exactly, but I think it's about 2/3 of the way up the slider. It's a matter of taste. I believe the amplitude of the signal is boosted too. To my ears, it is a definite enhancer.

A wonderful idea and a very successful realization! Sophia, it was a pleasure to watch you play. You have a very good sense of rhythm. Your chords were very clean. @rsl12 You have a nice voice and good stage presence. Very well done, both of you!
