PianoTell Recital #2 Meta Feedback

Currently, there is only 1 piece a duplicate in both forums, the rest is entirely different. Some posted different pieces in both forums and one of them seems to be "recycled" from a previous recital. But I am not sure about this recycling thing, as this piece wasn't finished last time, and we could probably hear a newer version.

Player1 I'm almost at the point where I can make my 1st recording of the piece I'm working on. It's going to be close!

It’s funny, I took a chapter out of your book because last time you had your piece recorded several weeks in advance. I was cutting it fine and worried whether I would have something ready in time. This round it seems we are reversed - I know how you feel

I tried to record my piece earlier today, it was going really well but then I made a really bad slip near the end. So frustrating, I know I'll get a good recording eventually though.

Welcome @Cratersmash And yes, I can relate to that too. In fact I posted just the other day how I had recorded a piece and then found out I never pushed the record button... or, as you said. It never fails that if a bad slip happens, it invariably happens in the last few seconds

Cratersmash Trust me, Cratersmash, you're not alone, we've all been there. It's something we often refer to as Red Button Syndrome.
It's good to see a new member arrive, this forum is fairly new and it is taking time for the membership to grow. Have you been playing piano long?

Nightowl Nope, I randomly picked this username for something when I was very young and I've been using it since then. No correlation to anything besides me liking how it sounds.

Player1 don't expect much

Player1 Yeah, I get days like that too - sometimes everything feels like too much of an effort (except eating sugary foods - I can always seem to manage that, somehow!). There's still plenty of time, especially for someone awesome like yourself!

Rob I haven't been around for a while, and didn't realise that there was to be a November recital until today.

This was me a couple of days ago. I have nothing for this one. Will there be a holiday one next month? I am working on festive pieces right now.

TLH21 As far as I know there is no official holiday recital. I plan to post some holiday cheer in Member Recordings though and I hope you do too!

Didn't like v1 of my submission so made another recording yesterday as v2.

This sounds a lot like you saying you wouldn't be surprised if I missed grabbing the brass ring. And we can't be having none 'o that! Not no how, no ways!!

I did manage to play yesterday and the video recorder captured the garbage I produced. Which got deleted immediately so don't ask. I'll probably try again later today. Like I said, it's not a difficult piece so I should have something presentable in the next few days.

All good today, I slept the clock around last night. Rain has a tendency to do that to me sometimes because we don't get much of it here.

Sophia Yeah, you'd best be careful, as P1 just admitted he has a tendency to "terminate" people who cross him. I hear he's quite lethal with that cattle prod of his!
