Hi everyone, I’m Anne—pianist, teacher, and arranger.
I wanted to introduce myself as a new member. I’m real-life friends with @twocats, who has told me so many wonderful things about this group, so I finally decided to jump in. I’m a piano teacher who also loves performing classical music, and lately I’ve been working on an all–female composers’ recital.
During the pandemic, when in-person performances weren’t possible, I discovered how much I enjoyed arranging music. I’m excited to participate in the “Play It Your Way” challenge—especially since this month’s piece is Canon in D. A few years ago I created both intermediate and advanced arrangements of it, and I’ll be using my advanced version for my recording. As a way of saying hello, I’d love to share both versions for free with anyone here who’s interested, here are the links for Canon in C (intermediate) and Canon in D (advanced). I set it as a free download through Sept 15th but please note that there is a website bug where the billing address field is required even though it’s free (sorry, I know this is annoying but the website developers assured me that it will be fixed).
