Just curious if anyone has any experience storing your grand piano. I was wondering about the cost of such a venture assuming a climate controlled environment.

Check the Modern Piano Moving company website, IIRC they have info on the site telling you the cost of storage — climate controlled.

          Good luck! Are you moving, or just need your piano stored for a while?

            ShiroKuro not yet. But in the next few years I’m probably going to start thinking about retirement and I might want to sell my place and travel for a while before downsizing a bit. So I was wondering what I would do with a grand piano in the interim. It dawned on me that there must be places where people store pianos so I started looking into it. I’ve got a special savings account set up for it so if/when the time comes it won’t be big deal. Thanks for the link - they seem like a nice option

                Is your piano still being rebuilt by Dale Irwin? When will it be done. Will it be when you start to travel?

                    Vuong yes the piano won’t be finished until some time ln March or April. Retirement is still several years out….it has been at the rebuilder since November
