Hey, I found the first thread I want to ignore! 😃 I see how to tag it for ignore but it still shows up, it just has a conspicuous little ignore icon next to it ... How do I make it not show up at all?

I think that's a feature not a bug. 😉

What if you want to un-ignore for some reason (e.g. ignored by mistake). There has to be a view in which you can find those discussions.

        BTW, I'm going to keep things in the All Discussion mode for a while, where the ignore feature seems to work fine, so no hurry on this. Once traffic really picks up, I'll probably prefer to get back to the Forum view.

        I agree ... about the ignore threads feature. A list of ignored threads for each member would be handy. If it can be added and not create issues with loading down the system or breaking the system etc, then that would be excellent.

        For example ... a proper ignore of a thread would hide the thread, such as a thread that is under a particular forum section where the section is assumed to not have threads used for a personal blog/diary ... and which should possibly be in another section ... such as meta or a blogs section etc. And that is all ok. This is where a proper ignore thread feature will work. There will be a need for each user to have that control feature though ... convenient access to their own ignore list, where they can remove ignored threads etc.

        I do agree with a couple of people on this. About the ignore feature. It can certainly be worked on later.

        If you want a list of all threads that you are ignoring, type this into the search bar:

        is:ignored

        and then "Search All Discussions".

        Can an 'ignored' thread ... with the stroke over the eye symbol be totally removed from view? When we are logged in of course.

        I remember Navindra put a similar request regarding ignored users on his "things to do" list, but it's low on his agenda.

        I looked into it a little: for ignored user's posts, the font-size can be set to 0 for articles of class "hidden post" (font size would need to be changed for all children as well). But for ignored discussion threads, I'm not sure how it works.

        But even with this fix, there's still the issue of notifications--it sounds like users are still getting notificatons for replies and DMs received from ignored users.
