New Feature: Emojis are fixed!

I think it's all good now! Reload the page and see if the new emoji picker works... it's so much better. 😃

Look for the smiley face on the far right of the toolbar at the bottom. You may have to scroll it.

I'm not sure if this will break again or some new issue will surface, but for now it looks great!

For a while now I've been maintaining a fork of the-turk/flamoji in order to support our emoji picker. With Flarum 2.x rapidly approaching, this has become a bit of a hurdle to cross!

I spent some time over the weekend updating and upgrading the emoji picker. It's now available as pianotell/flarum-ext-flamoji which I think is the first public and open source Flarum extension I've published under the pianotell namespace.

As part of this work, I decided to swap the broken emoji-button (which I also had to fork) with emoji-mart and, as a result, the new picker looks a little different from the old one:

However, I hope the picker will work largely the same and as well as it did before. Please let me know if you find any bugs or issues with it!

rsl12 Unfortunately, I don't... when I work on something like this, it tends to be at the exclusion of something else, so something inevitably gets dropped on the floor. What is new here is that the landscape of software development has changed dramatically in a world where non-human intelligence has become a commodity. As the goat says, something bad is happening in Oz.
