ranjit It's probably a combination of the scale and phrase structure. I'm not sure but just by ear it sounds like a pentatonic or hexatonic scale.

Simonb Hi ShiroKuro Yes there's something there, which I can't quite put my finger on. All the above mentions are possibles. I also thought of Here There and Everywhere. It may just be the instrumentation and basic harmonies, and since it dates from 2011, maybe Brian Crain was influenced by The Beatles melodies, even if only subconsciously. Cheers
WieWaldi It's the part from 1:03 that has Beatles vibes. But I can't name a song. Maybe because I am not the biggest Beatles fan of all; just know their mainstream works.
