Is the PianoWorld site down? I get this error message: You don't have permission to access this resource.Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safe

ShiroKuro You misread or misunderstood my post. I never said criticizing the UI was the same as criticizing the MEMBERS or COMMUNITY of Pianoworld. That's your misrepresentation. I said criticizing UI was the same as criticizing Pianoworld. Please don't put words in my mouth.

It certainly is not my intent to put words in your mouth, but I do not agree that criticizing the UI equates with criticizing Piano World itself. I suggested that we agree to disagree, but you don't seem comfortable with that.

In your latest post quoted above you talk about criticizing UI as being the same as criticizing PW but in your previous post you talked about criticizing Pianoworld's UI as being the same as criticizing PianoWorld members. These are different things which you don't seem to acknowledge. That's why I said you put words in my mouth because I didn't say what you claimed I said.

You suggested we agree to disagree but then you responded to my post.

Since the UI is part of Pianoworld, criticizing Pianoworld's UI is being critical of Pianoworld. If I were to try and make an analogy, it would be something like saying the direction of a movie was poor. I think this would be considered a criticism of a movie.

I did not suggest that you said or suggested that. But you keep revisiting your concern about the original split and creation of PT. My point is, nothing can come of such a discussion. The deed is done (long ago). You need to let it go.

I will respond to this one last post and have numbered statements in your previous post for reference. I will not make any further posts in this thread.

It is you that have misread my comment. I'll repeat what I said. You originally said that I was comparing criticisms of Pianoworld's UI to criticisms of its members. That was not true. I pointed this out and then you switched to saying I was comparing comparing criticisms of Pianoworld's UI to criticisms of Pianoworld.
So you think that saying we should agree to disagree means you can continue disagreeing with what I said when I disagree with your posts?
Referring to me as a "dear" pianoloverus" is sarcastic.
You complain about me not being willing to let things go but you continually respond to what I write. Can you let things go or will you find it necessary to comment on this post, which I have promised to be my last on the thread?

Yes, first to say that nothing in my post was sarcastic. Do not think the worst of me, I am truly sincere. I did find it ironic to notice how similar we are, it brought a smile to my face. I had hoped it would do the same for you.

And second to say, if this is truly your last post, then I have nothing more to say. My primary concern is to defend myself and my fellow PTers, who I felt you were accusing unfairly. If you're done with that, then I'm happy to let it go.

I was curious, because I've used this functionality extensively in the past.

navindra No, I just mean plain-text in the sense not SSL-encrypted http instead of https. You can still go to the http site but it redirects to https.

<nitpick> @navindra the font of the linked text is bigger than the font of the rest 🙂 If that is intentional, then I said nothing 🙂 But somehow I don't think that is the desired effect 😃
