Perhaps. But there are some folks on PW itself who are equally critical. I personally would have been more forgiving if they had undertaken these changes when they first bought the site. They didn't have to wait four years with zero improvements. To me, that was always a sign that the new owners don't care about piano, and that is the core complaint of many people who migrated to PT.
At any rate, I'm happy to acknowledge that they're trying to improve it now. But they still have a lot of work to do.
I switched to the dark theme and I still think that just aesthetically, it looks horrible. There are still lots of buggy things (for ex., the recital thread I opened didn't display correctly). The thread list display and the clicking to take you to the part you haven't read is buggy. With the old forum software, it was synced across devices, but now is not doing that. IOW, if I read something on my phone, and then look at it on my iPad, it doesn't register that I've already read those posts.
Also, I don't see any way to distinguish threads I've opened and read from ones I haven't.
Based on the speed with which they are responding to suggestions and making improvements, I assume these will be corrected soon (though probably not over the weekend). But until then, the site is much, much less usable than it was before.
