Everybody Wants to Be My Friend

I wrote and recorded this a few months ago. It's not based on truth (like most of my songs) but is inspired by events. I have two additions to my faux band, Biff and the Buffaloes. A guitarist friend, Dave Web and my go to drummer and Pianoworld contributor, Ted Bell (Tbell). My piano (and best friend), the Yamaha GP-295 does the piano, organ, sax and some guitar. I'm also playing my Squire bass. Hope you like it 🙂.

This is an excellent song Peyton. The subject matter is about an uglier and fake side of people but your voice gives it a roll-with-it good-natured attitude.

Ornstein Thank you! The inspiration actually comes from way back in my life. I was a professional skier and owned a telemark ski organization. We had over 30 instructors and ran festivals all around new England. So I had free ski tickets for many of the ski areas. It was funny how many friends I had in those days. 🙂 But as soon as I retired and closed down the company... gosh, where did they all go? Kind of the opposite side of my song but you get the picture.

I know you mean the song, but I do like the Squier bass! I'm always impressed by how good they are, esp. the Classic VIbe series. I'm tempted to get one myself, but I have three basses already and really don't need another!
